How
does the Fissler Blue Point Pressure stainless steel cooker work?
How the pressure cooker works?
- All foods are cooked
gently and quickly. You save up to 70% of the usual cooking time.
Valuable vitamins and minerals are preserved. And you save energy, too-
up to 50%.
- Steam is formed in
the closed cooker, which must always contain liquid. Air is expelled
through the Fissler Euromatic valve. This means that there is no longer
any oxygen in the cooker which might destroy vitamins and flavor. This
oxygen can destroy essential vitamins and alter the appetizing color of
vegetables, for example. If the vegetables are cooked in steam in the
perforated inset, instead of in water, the valuable, water soluble
nutrients are also preserved.
- When the air has
escaped, the Fissler Euromatic seals the cooker automatically, at just
the right moment. The temperature in the cooker increases, pressure is
formed, and the indicator rod rises. All you have to do now is to turn
down the heat. The cooking temperature corresponds to the cooking
setting you have selected.
- The temperature for
the Gentle Setting (1st ring) is about 109°C. or 228°F. (0.4 bar). At
the Speed Setting (2nd ring), it is about 116°C. or 241°F. (0.8 bar).
This is the reason that everything cooks more quickly at this setting.
After the cooking time is elapsed, you must first completely
depressurize the cooker. Only then can the pressure cooker be opened.
The special advantages
of the Fissler Blue Point pressure cooker
- Fissler Euromatic:
made of 18/10 stainless steel. When the air has escaped, it seals the
cooker automatically at just the right moment, so cooking can begin.
- Control valve: easy
to clean. The valve does not have to be taken apart and reassembled
after cleaning. Simply hold the opening of the valve under running
water.
- Simple handling: or
fast pressure cooking, set the slide at "closed" position.
Only at this position can pressure be formed. For conventional cooking,
set the slide at "open".
- Extra large indicator
rod with 2 rings: shows the cooking setting for gentle (1st ring) or
speed (2nd ring) cooking.
- Reliable safety
systems: the Fissler Blue Point pressure cooker meets
German Industrial Standard 66065 and, in fact, far exceeds some of
its requirements. These safety systems operate automatically:
- Lid with bayonet locking system
- rubber gasket in lid
- automatic easy-care control valve with safety mechanism
- Fissler Euromatic in the lid handle as an additional safety valve
- residual pressure block through the Fissler Euromatic. The pressure cooker
can only be opened when the pressure has been released completely.
- safety slide in the handle, for releasing steam and opening the
cooker, and to set at "pressure cooking" or "conventional
cooking."
