FutureRitual

Wow! What
else can we say about this book! This has been taking NLP
seminars by storm. Believed to be a personal favourite of
certain NLP trainers, it combines the best of NLP along
with practical magick. This book is still being
reviewed by The Onion Institute reviewers, and frankly this
reviewer is having a hard time getting it back to review
it. This book is about thelemic magick, finding and
following your True Will. Not those whimsical desires and
wishes that occasionally (and less and less, you'll find)
wash over you, but your Will. To do this, you can use the
methodology of FutureRitual as 'the method of
science, the aim of religion', as Aleister Crowley put
it. As you read this review, start to
sort through some of the times when you've done something
that hasn't come through the simple conditioned response
of being an animal, or through the conditioned responses
you've gained through living in the society in which you
now live, or your family, or even your own experience. As
you read, your unconscious has probably already found a
great number of such times, and has maybe even let your
conscious mind remember some of the them. These are times
when you were living authentically, from your Will. The book includes detailed
instructions on consecration, as well as banishing --
explaining the Lesser Ritual of the Pentagram in some
detail, but more importantly without the cant and
obfuscation that has confused so many before. One of the
great processes that makes NLP so enjoyable is that you
so often find simple, effective ways of working. Take
this book as an example. Previously, much of what has
been written about magick has occluded to ways of doing
magick through a filter of attitude. With a useful
attitute, you'll get useful results. But few have been
available that lay out the fundamental structures in a
such a clear way. Invocation is the drawing in of a
quality into the magickian. In NLP talk, it's changing
your state. Magickal state change and anchoring works
with the same fundamental principles as the rest of NLP,
although some would say that NLP invocation and
symbolising works with the same fundamental principles as
the rest of magick. FutureRitual talks about ways of
making invocation stronger and more powerful, to the
point where a single word can 'enflame you'.. This is but a small part of what's
in the book. As soon as I find which reviewer has stolen
my copy ... I'll get back and write a fuller review. Highly recommended for learning
about either magick or NLP. We'll leave Robert Anton
Wilson to give the last words: "I
found this book absolutely unique -- the first magick
manual entirely contemporary with modern science and the
only one that will really prepare the student for life in
the 21st Century." -- Robert Anton Wilson |
