The Value of Computers and The Internet

The issue of the value of computers and in particular the internet in our education systems is a subject that had been discussed earlier by many opinion leaders. However it is important to stress its value in higher education including undergraduate and postgraduate university students.

This value originate from the fact that the use of computers urges students to improve their command of English language that open the door to international communication and easier follow-up of the world progress in all sciences and arts.

Computers are the major tools for the current and following generations all over the world, they are like the pen in the hand of a literate; they are a faster way for innovation and creation.

The internet is the fastest ever known tool for literature searches and a melting pot for knowledge exchange. It is a window that makes users explore the attitude of their peers and discover the ideal and most productive attitude. It enhance positive competition and productive challenge.

Education is available from internet resources all over the globe that help both students and their educators. They help the positive change from one-way to the better interactive education.

The government and universities are making access to computers and internet available to all educational levels. However, I would like to see that typing skills are a major item in the curriculums of primary education, the efficiency of service providing of the internet gets better and the network administration improve.
