How to get to Heaven

Many people believe that they can get to Heaven by just being a good person. What does the Bible have to say about this?

Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God.

If Jesus wasn’t good where does that leave the rest of us?

Many others believe that all roads lead to God.

1 Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

No man is good enough to go to heaven and live with a perfect God.

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

We need the help of the man who never sinned.

Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

This high priest is the man Christ Jesus. Jesus was God in a human body. He came to the earth so that you could go to heaven. He went about doing good and healing. He died to give you His eternal life. His body was broken to heal yours. He was impoverished to enrich your life. Not only this but after His death God brought Him back to life so that He could continue to help people today!

Then How do we get to heaven ?

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Pray to God. Tell Him that you believe that He raised Jesus from the dead. Now say OUT LOUD “Jesus is my Lord”. Say it again. Say it once more. Now if you really meant it you’re saved.

 Now find a church that believes that the bible is the truth and start reading the New Testament every day. By the way, welcome to the family.
