Attention DisordersAnyone who has a child with an Attention Disorder has most likely found out how difficult it is to sort through all the information available on the subject. Just typing ADHD into a search engine brings up thousands of hits, most of them repeating what the last summary said. Compound that with all the "experts" who publish webpages, articles, or books and you've got weeks and months of headaches. It's important for parents and caregivers to be prepared and informed as much as possible, because ADD/ADHD is still a very controversial subject. I believe very strongly that seeing the positives of ADD and of your child is vital, and for me that includes becoming a strong advocate. My son, age 12, has symptoms associated with Attention Deficit Disorder with hyperactivity and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. (See Tim's Page) Because of the anxiety and other reasons, I've taken him off stimulants and am currently seeking help from a Homeopath and a Neurofeedback specialist. From experience and my research, homeopathy and other alternatives to stimulants do help many children with ADD and related problems. Help yourself to the links below, and please email me if you find any of the sites particularly helpful or not at all. Have fun browsing, but try to quit before you get yet another headache!
