I have truly enjoyed your website. I am moved by your love for your kids and feel that's how it should be. They look for us to be positive and loving though others (ie.,public/society) tells us to move forward thinking its a hopeless cause. I am a wife a d mother of two precious darlings- a healthy 6 year old girl and a terminally ill but determined to live 3 year old son. Thank You, Tiffany Martin

My daughter was born with spina bifida almost 8 years ago. I recently had to take her to Riley Children's Hospital due to urinary and bowel incontinence problems... I never knew about latex allergy or several other items that we need to be aware are rela ed to her SB. A dear friend found this site and sent me here... she was right, this is the BEST site that I have found! Thanks so much for caring so much about all these wonderful children!

It's great to see a site devoted to this kind of information! I myself am still technologically impaired, but I'm excited by the possibilities in education brought about by technology! Even though I have taught special ed. for 18 years, there are many t pes of disabilities I have not had experience with, and I can always use more ideas and tips for myself and to pass along to others. Keep up your great work!

Exceptional parent magazine november 1999 issue is good. columbia 1-800-454-6612 has support seats, barrier free lifts 1-800-582-8732 for floor and ceiling lifts. wider doors, wider hallways, special handicapped door latches ( go to most good hardware s ores ) ramps and living on one level are key elements. I don't know if this would be in your project budget, but koehler makes a tub with a door and seat for caregiver for caregiver/nurse. when combined with columbia bath chair, this may work. tub also as jacuzzi feature. unfortunately this has about $15,000 price tag. if by some miracle you get and read this, please e-mail. thanks!

Our daughter Debbie, now 23, was hit by a car and severely brain-injured when she was 10. She is in a wheelchair, in diapers, and can eat solid food but takes her liquids by NG tube. I loved the tips on attaching toys to trays, because Debbie's idea of un is to knock everything off of her tray. If anyone would like information on NG tube feeding or making adult-size bibs, we've been dealing with it for 13 years and would be glad to share.

Naz I liked zoe's page, my son has hypotonia, severe talipes in both feet, and sensory integrative disfunction. He is mobile, and has no cognitive delays. We are lucky with him because he is a ray of light. We are on a great hypotonia support list and ther are people with kids with static encephalopathy, hypotonic cp and other serious conditions too, as well as some with just hypotonia, myopathies and adhd amongst others. It is a great community, thought you might be interested. It is marty white's page. I usually find it by putting in benign congenital hypotonia, failing that, planet vulcan and marty white and I think there is a link on band aids and blackboards. Jan
