the old rat race
all the staff at this old camp, we are feeling great and look spectacular
what an knack there is to not looking like a dirty sewer rat
we've got elegance if we ain't got elegance and we'll never ever carry it off
poison oak, don't speak of it, campfire smoke...we reek of it
Though we're dressed in rags and patches,
Our pockets filled with knives and matches,
The A.C.A kowtows to us, all the campers scrape and bow to us
We've got elegance, if you ain't got elegance....
Have you noticed when I hold my spoon the jello never moves
and the way I hold my coffee cup, indubitably proves,
THAT..we've got elegance, we were born with elegance
and with elegance........We'll carry it off!

As the years go by, and we are all getting a *little* older, now raising our own families, we sometimes forget little parts of our past. And when we do remember, they call us *nostalgic*. Well, I have to stand up and say...."I miss those days!!!!" "I WANT TO GO BACK TO CAMP!!" This is when that little light went off in my head one night and I thought...why not use a webpage to help us all remember and keep in touch.
So, sit back, and take a tour of Camp Conestoga, the staff, and our memories. Are you looking for someone in particular? Hopefully we can help you find him/her. What I want most is to see all of your memories. So please, email me (Kookie, 83-88) and let me know of your best memories of being on staff at Camp Conestoga. Better yet, send some pictures. If you have pictures you'd like to see, but have no scanner, you can email me for my home address, I'd be glad to scan them for you, and of course will return the original back to you.
I'd also like to have a page listing your camp name and email address's so we can all find each other. If you prefer to keep it private, that's fine. If someone is trying to get in touch with you, I can be the go between.
