Early Intervention Program (EIP): For babies up to 3 years old

EIP is federally funded, but run at the state levels. Hence each state's program varies. You can most likely find information on EIP from your State Departments of: Education, Health, or Mental Health.

Some services your baby may be able to receive include: Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Developmental Screenings and more. It really doesn't hurt to check it out. Although clefting is not a major disability, there are some things you are entitled to.

Check out: NICHY'S State Resource Sheets to get street addresses, phone numbers and point-of-contacts for each state. (including Guam, Puerto Rico and more)
