Rosalyn Bruyere

Medicine Teachings with Native American People, and the ancient

Tibetan Bon-Po spiritual tradition. Wheels of Light Volume 1 and the

forthcoming Volume 2 are her books on energies and healing..

Rev. Rosalyn Bruyere has been a very strong influence in my life. Being born with a hip socket that was not formed correctly and having a femur head degenerate with at least 6 hip replacement surgeries, you might say that I have been interested in and concerned with healing most of my life.

My R.N. mother, respect and honor to her, taught me a lot about cleaning my brother's wounds and how to bandage for best effect. We all went through infectious hepititis when Mom brought it home from the Hospital. The Girl Scout badge for First Aid was learned and the my surgeries began. I moved to Los Angeles in 1978 in the middle of the surgery excursions. I began a serious contract bridge habit with a Job for the Santa Monica School District. I was the accountant for specially funded projects when I met Barbara.

My friend, Barbara, had got interested in hands-on healing and needed someone to practice on. I was a natural, and she put me on her healing table and worked (conscious attention and intent) to return my legs to the same length. After a few treatments, she did, then scared herself so much that she never worked on me again.

It was Barbara who first told me about Rosalyn Bruyere and the Healing Light Center Church in Glendale, CA. She drove us from Santa Monica to the Saturday Outreach Healing Clinic. Noticing a brochure describing the classes, I found that Rosalyn was teaching a subject called Body Symbology. Zigging and zagging, I tried to take that class for about the next 10 years. Finally, one day, I called again, to be told that Rosalyn had just finished the class and it was the best she had done, cassette tapes available. That settled it. The tapes came. I heard her voice and said I'm home. I signed up, but that's another story perhaps to be told later.

The most amazing physical healing that I was present for was done in Santa Monica, California. Rosalyn had given a lecture and then offered to do a healing for someone. A lady near the front got up and right away we all noticed that her right ankle was horribly swollen and black and blue. Rosalyn gently folded her hands around the ankle and ran energy (focused attention and intent) into the ankle for about five minutes. When Rosalyn was done, you could still see the black and blue but the swelling was gone!

Rosalyn began her healing practice at least 20 years before I found her. Her reputation was the best! The Healing Light Center Church has moved to the Sanctuary in Sierra Madre, CA and is now world-wide with community in many countries. Those she has trained and nurtured have scattered to do the work, and the actual doing of the work is the highest tribute we can offer.

Rosalyn reminds us that we are all healers.
