HIGH CHOLESTEROL AND DIABETES STUDY

The division of Endocrinology at Mt. Sinai Hospital is conducting a new research study for patients who have high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes mellitus. All patients enrolled in the study will receive treatment with one of two medications (there is no placebo group).

You may be eligible for the study if you:

*You may be eligible to participate even if you are currently taking cholesterol-lowering medications.

The study lasts 22 weeks long and requires 6 visits to our office, located at 5 East 98th Street, 11th Floor. Study related physician visits, nutrition counseling, study medication, and blood tests will be free of charge. You will also be reimbursed for your time and travel expenses.
