 2. Suffering  (Dukkha)  -  Subject to Suffering

        [I]  Stream-Winner (Sotapanna)  eradicates

             1. Self-illusion  (Sakkayaditthi)
             2. Doubts  (Vicikiccha)
             3. Indulgence in wrongful rites and ceremonies  (Silabata Paramasa)
 

        [II]  Once-Returner (Sakadagami)  eradicates

             1. Self-illusion  (Sakkayaditthi)
             2. Doubts  (Vicikiccha)
             3. Indulgence in wrongful rites and ceremonies  (Silabata Paramasa)
 
             and weaken

             4. Sense-desire  (Kamaraga)
             5. Hatred  (Patigha) 
 

        [III]  Non-Returner (Anagami)  eradicates

             1. Self-illusion  (Sakkayaditthi)
             2. Doubts  (Vicikiccha)
             3. Indulgence in wrongful rites and ceremonies  (Silabata Paramasa)
             4. Sense-desire  (Kamaraga)
             5. Hatred  (Patigha)
 

        [IV]   An  Arahant  eradicates

             7. Attachment to Arupa Jhanas & Formless-sphere  (Aruparaga)
             8. Conceit  (Mana)
             9. Restlessness  (Uddhacca)
