Upper Newport Bay

Description

Another non-off roading, asphalt paved trail. Great scenery. There is also quite a bit of off-trailing you can do. There is an exit from the asphalt road to lots of circular, random, round-about dirt trails with no rhyme or reason. You can do like my girlfriend and i did and just go run around like crazy until your time is up. On this trail you will get

Where To Run?

Well, as far as paved goes...

Go Right (towards the beach) and it will go maybe 1 to 1.5 miles before it it deadends at the stoplight

Go Left And you will see lots of nice trees and shrubbery.. continue on for maybe 1.5 to 2 miles and it ends at the intersection where the mercedes dealership is... (Jamboree)

If you want more... take a right (on Jamboreee) and continue on ..the sidewalks merges with a bike trail... U-turn and you are at the beginning (for lack of a name) of the Irvine Bike Trail (described elsewhere on the page). Continue straight and you will hit East Bluff Drive..go right. Continue up the hill. The first right is a steep/short downhill. This Lower Newport Bay (also described elsewhere on the page

Off-Roading:It will be really really difficult to get yourself lost.. as you can see it's just a bunch of giant hills with tracks on them for you to just let loose and run!! It's actually quite fun when you're in the mood for it. No snakes to worry about (I don't think).
