God bless you Shari. It is a pleasure to meet you. My son Andrew was diagnosed with AA 10 years ago. His AA is in the moderate stage. He mainly suffers with a low platelet count of 21,000. Andrew's paternal grandmother and his father have both passed away with AML and we are told that this is where his AA comes from. We've been fortunate over the years, he only has had 6 blood transfusions from the time he was 1 1/2 to the age of 2 1/2. Platelet transfusions given only when he had to have teeth extracted. We just live one day at a time and put Andrew in Gods hands. You are an inspiration to us and wish you the best.

Hi--I'm 52, was diagnosed w/AA in July, '99, had
ATGAM in Sept, '99. It was a long year, but my
counts started up in January and the doctors declared me in remission in May. Just this week
I am completely off cyclosporin. I'm hoping my counts continue to go up--platelets are in the 70's, WBC 3.5, RBC 3.2. I started taking Procrit
