Tension Type Headache
Tension type headache (TTH) is one of the commonest
types of headache in the general population.
It can be easily diagnosed just by history.
Investigations are generally needed to rule out any other illness and to
allay the patient's associated anxiety.
TTH is not a serious illness but often results in
great disability and loss of productivity.
TTH responds to a remarkably large variety of
medications and non-drug treatments such as biofeedback, psychotherapy,
acupuncture, yoga, meditation, reflex therapy etc. Medications along
with other complimentary measures usually result in good outcomes.
