Hi my name is Sandra, I'm a 21 years old female and I live in
Holland, I became deaf when I
was 2 years
old after a ear infection in both ears. I can sign langauge and I lipread
very
well, I wear hearing aids in both ears, so I can hear some sounds with
them :-)
Why did I made this website...
well I know a lot of people are looking strange to deaf people
I mean,,, when they hear my voice,,, when they see that I wear hearing
aids !!!
They do not
realise that I'm a normal girl just like everyone, It's only that I can't
hear.
I'm proud that I'm deaf... I'm proud that I wear hearing aids !!!
I know that there are a lot deaf and hard
of hearing people ashamed about there deafness and about the fact that
they wear hearing aids (especially girls) but don't be ashamed please,
be proud just like me !!!
