The Initiate approaches
the Karnak Temple suitably attired in White robes (Gallibeyas
are most suitable).
The Osiris-Haka-Djet
The Initiate is then led into the next room through the opening at the right of the seven doors on the Southern wall, within the small temple. here at the back wall, the Initiate recognises the seven Ankh’s forming a pyramid. These are the ‘Keys!’
Here a second 'Keeper' is summoned from
his lofty perch on the North temple boundary wall, who, after
holding out his hand for the customary Baksheesh, leads the way
into the temple courtyard from the West. Here, he unlocks a large
door into the temple itself on the East wall, revealing in the
centre a headless statue of Ptah, the 'Keeper' turns and opens
a door to his right (South), the room behind is dark. The 'Keeper'
bades the Initiate to enter, and as the Initiates eyes become
accustomed to the dark, he will make out, at the top (East) of
the room, a large, complete statue of Sekhemet.
The only illumination, comes from a small opening in the roof,
directly above the statue.
