Legal or Public Holidays in CANADA.

Employees are entitled to eight public holidays with pay:

January 1st - New Years Day

Friday before Easter (see below) - Good Friday

Monday preceeding May 25th - Victoria Day

July 1st - Canada Day

1st Monday in September - Labor Day

2nd Monday in October - Thanksgiving Day

December 25 - Christmas Day

December 26 - Boxing Day

Other Holidays in Canada

Easter is observed on the first Sunday following the full moon that occurs on or following the spring equinox (March 21). Easter is a "movable" feast which can occur as early as March 22 or as late as April 25

2nd Sunday of May - Mother's Day.

3rd Sunday of June - Father's Day.

October 31st - Halloween.

November 11 - Remembrance Day
