La Citroën DS de mon père, Vol. 2

By Dominique Pagneux. Published in 1997 by E.T.A.I. Hardcover, 120 full colour pages.

The good thing about this book is the history level. All pictures are from the production years, and there's a lot of factory drawings. A lot of the ID/DS brochure covers and original ads are reproduced as well. It goes through the evolution of the Goddess in years, starting in 1955, and ending in 1976. There is a description of the styliste Opron, the service director, legendary Cotton and of course Chapron. The book features the facelift, the special models, the ambulances, the studies, the presidentielles, the rally years, injection electronique and many other interesting details, that many aren't aware of. It also has a complete list of model specifications and changes over the years. And again, it's packed with beautiful, original photos. Get it!

Toutes les Citroen

By René Bellu. Published by Éditions Jean-Pierre Delville. Hardback, 325 pages.

This book is a must for all enthusiasts. It delivers all facts on all models from 1919 to 1987, with changes, measurements, engines, ads and production numbers. It has an entire section that describes prototypes and other models within the series. I paid about 400 francs for it, and it has been published in many versions. Every time I need an answer, this is the book to dust off. The ultimate reference book.
