THE CROSS MOVEMENT

Members: John Wells(The Tonic), William Branch(The Ambassador), Brady Goodwin Jr (Phanatik), Juan James, Cleve A. Foat Jr.

Based in Philly, the CM which used to be 20 members strong, winnowed to 5 determind members. Wells, who is kind of the 'lead spokesman' for the CM, who produces the albums and is one of its main organizer, who was brought up in New Jersey and then moved to Philly, had this to say about the independent group's situation face to the industry:

"
we realize we're up against big money, big industry and big power... We're David fighting Goliath, with just a few stones and a sling, but we've got God in Heaven, and that's more than enough because God is bigger than everything lined up against us."

Christnology--"In Layman's Terms" , is The Ambassador's (one of the 5 elements that compose the CM) first single album; you can find several of his tracks on mp3.com

"Hip Hop is a tool that's very easy for us to use to infiltrate areas...to speak to people. We'll never exalt hip hop. We'll only exalt God and use hip hop to do that." -Cross Movement's John Wells
