Subject: WM: Word Faith teaching

>>>Over 20 years ago, Walter Martin said on his tape regarding the WF teaching that if responsible, respectable charismatic leaders didn't put a stop to this WF nonsense, there will be NO authority in the charismatic movement. He said that each person's experience will be the criteria for truth, and that would "destroy us." Thankfully, the A/G has in writing condemned the WF theology officially, but still tolerates some WF teachers in our ranks, such as Marilyn Hickey, A/G minister from Colorado.

Maybe if we all became "non-Charismatic", we could get along and see eye to eye on every subject! I really think that "non-charismatics" have already put "Charismatics" outside the Christian Faith. Some have even categorized us Charismatics as a "cult." Well, for one, that is why I like to go by Non-Denominational. You see, when anti-WOF'ers and anti-Charismatics find out I'm Pentecostal/Charismatic, they immediately categorize me with the "laughing movement". I say that this is totally

unfair and judgmental! I think "Non-charismatics" and Anti-WOF'ers need to cool it and drop their stones before they turn someone away from the gospel. Many unsaved listen to the debate that goes on back and forth and get turned off by Christians in general.

Listen, so there may be differences in the understanding of the Gifts of the Spirit, WOF, etc. But what we do have in common in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the essential doctrines to the Historic Christian Faith.
