Gerald:

>First I want to thank Dave for his open dialog on these subjects. He seems to be the only one trying to answer questions/arguments on this forum for the WOF position, and he probably feels like he is being dumped on.

Dave:

Yes, I kind of feel alone...but I continue to do my best to answer questions to the best of my knowledge of what I personally know.

Gerald:

Are you saying that he was overzealous by subscribing to wrong doctrine and teachings and has now backed away from them? Can you tell me exactly what Fred Price has backed away from in his teaching? Does he still believe that he has watched people die and it was because of their undeveloped faith, or this is what he has backed away from? Does he now believe that God is not limited in those with disabilities?

Dave:

He has addressed this on the question and answer section you've pasted on this page. He does not say they have developed unbelief all the time. "Sometimes" it is...but then, as Dr. Price on said "we don't understand everything...we just have to trust God and leave things in His hands."

Gerald:

What is his position on why his wife became sick with cancer? Did Betty Price speak negatively so that she spoke the cancer in existence? If he has backed away from these type of WOF teachings, then I take back what was stated earlier because I was not aware of his new positions.

Dave:

Fred Price said that his wife never drank water. She always drank coffee, cola, etc. And this brought on the cancer. It had nothing to do with "positive confession." It was her lifestyle and not taking care of her body by taking in the right foods and drinks. She also acknowledged that. They told this on their program once. It was very touching. The Hagin's referred the Price's to a Cancer Specialist who eventually used some type of radiation to target the cancer and destroy it. So they are not against doctors. I think by going through this ordeal, it really has caused them to be more compassionate for those who are dealing with sickness.

Gerald:

Since Betty Price became sick, was she out of God=92s will? Was it because of unbelief or weak faith?

Dave:

I believe my answer above answers this...she didn't take in the proper foods and drinks. She admits to this. They now watch what they eat. Dr. Price even said that if you had all the faith in the world and still ate junk food, people will have all kinds of physical complications that they bring upon themselves. He speaks of properly taking care of our bodies by exercising, eating right, etc.

Gerald:

Also I am not clear what you mean when you said they watch carefully what they say now. Could you expand on this matter? Is this so that those who have questions about their doctrine are not able to ask questions about it?

Dave:

They are not so quick to point out why so and so died of a sickness. Again, many WOF ministers in the last 2 yrs have died traggic deaths.

Gerald:

Since you attend Fred Price=92s church can you provide us with the basics of his doctrine so we can better understand what he teaches currently? I would be interested in his concept of faith (is it a force the same as God used when He spoke the universe into existence?), positive and negative confession, and the atonement (Jesus atoned for all of our sins as well as our sickness?).

Dave:

I do not attend Fred Price's church. But I have listened to him for the last 7 yrs and understand his teaching on certain issues. Of course, I believe that "faith" is a force. It certainly is not "personal". However, it's not a force like "electricity" but just a concept of accepting the message of the scriptures and applying them to our life.

Yes, I believe, and so do all WOF teachers, that pysical healing was provided for in the atonement according to Matthew 8:16-17 and as prophecies by Isaiah in Isaiah 53:5. I trust that answers your questions.
