I do not know who is teaching you this. There are two ways of looking at trials. When we look at it with Satan's eyes, then they are REALLY MEANT to DESTROY us. But with God's eyes, trials and tribulations are meant to STRENGTHEN US.

God says we can overcome. When we do overcome, our faith is strengthened through it. The same about sickness, God does not use sickness to teach us something. But if we experience it in our bodies, we can stand on God's promise for healing. That is where our faith is strengthened. And sure, people have died of sickness...but they died in faith. I'd rather die in faith than not die with faith. Hebrews 11:13
I am not sure I understand what is meant by saying "And sure, people have died of sickness...but they died in faith. I'd rather die in faith than not die with faith." Could you clarify what it means to die in faith? I think you are using a WOF definiton. I can understand if you die in faith believing Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Is this the context you are talking about? Or are you talking about faith in claiming and positively possessing your healing standing on the atonement, even though your healing may not be manifested?
