>The quote above by Fred Price does not say to not take medicine, but that once you have a developed your faith to such an extent (how is verified?) then you won't need medicine as he does. Again if this is an old quote please let me know. If you are a new believer in Mr. Price's congregation, and hear or read something such as this stated above, won't you want to try to develop your faith to the level that he has and not have to take medicine? If your faith is not developed to that level, but you think it is, and stand on the promises of God that you are healed but die, isn't the proponent of such teaching responsible in some way?
Dave:
I heard Fred Price say on his television broadcast that if someone from his church or any Christian for that, would tell a person to stop taking medicine for their sickness...and if that person stops taking the medicine and passes away....Fred Price said "I hope you burn in hell." He said this about the person giving advice to stop taking medicine. Fred Price was strong on that using those words...but he got his point across. He even said that if someone from his church who worked there advised someone to quit taking medicine, he would fire them. He said that this is not their position to suggest that people stop taking their medicine.
I think it was last year or in '98 that Fred Price was dealing with some symptons in his body and was taking medicine himself. He did not go into detail. But he was dealing with some physical problems and as I recall, he said he went to the doctor to get a shot to help relieve the pain of what he was dealing with in his body. He never said what it was, but just gave an example that it's not a sin to go to the doctor and take medicine if necessary...

>Dave, if Fred Price does not hold to these teachings please let me know. If you think you can speak for the other WOF teachers then help us understand theses teachings. I don't think you should feel obligated to do so if Fred Price does not agree with what I have quoted from other teachers.
Dave:
The quotes you provided are accurate. If anyone read those quotes with the promise of scripture in mind, they can see that God desires His children healed and blessed. This does not mean that we won't face persecutions, problems, dilemas, etc. But when we face lifes uncertainties, we have the Lord and His promises declared in His Word to stand on...
Thank you for providing those quotes. I cannot answer for Kenneth Hagin, but I do understand where he is coming from when he speaks of "developed faith." Do you not recall the many times when Jesus said "according to your faith, so be it unto you" or when certain ones came ot him for healing, he rebuked his disciples for having "little faith" or "unbelief"???
