Subject: WM: Trials and tribulations 3
Who in their right mind would ever think for one moment that God wants to destroy us? Satan means for trials to discourage and eventually destroy our faith. God says we can overcome.

Dave,
Read what you just said in your other post, that trials and tribulations are meant to destroy us. If God ALLOWS them by His sovereignty to happen, then you are actually SUGGESTING that God means to destroy us. I am just following your logic. Do you still not want to accept that God creates DISASTER, and that it PLEASED Him to bruise the Son? God has clearly said that He USES trials and tribulations to strengthen us, and teach us about His truths. You still hang on to the misconception that trials are ONLY meant to discourage us--that is the FARTHEST from the truth. That is what the devil wants you to think, for that is his reason why he participates in giving trials. But the root of all good or bad, by virtue of His sovereignty on all things, is GOD, and says that He uses trials for our good. Look into your concordance and check the word "trials", and then find the verse where trials worketh "patience". All you say is, "God says we can overcome." That's not good enough to claim, for God means not just that, but more than that; He actually uses EVERYTHING FOR THE GOOD OF HIS CHOSEN ONES, and that INCLUDES trials and tribulations (this is the third time I am using Romans 8:28).
In Christ,
Jaime
