He said this about the person giving advice to stop taking medicine. Fred Price was strong on that using those words...but he got his point across. He even said that if someone from his church who worked there advised someone to quit taking medicine, he would fire them. He said that this is not their position to suggest that people stop taking their medicine.
I think it was last year or in '98 that Fred Price was dealing with some symptons in his body and was taking medicine himself. He did not go into detail. But he was dealing with some physical problems and as I recall, he said he went to the doctor to get a shot to help relieve the pain of what he was dealing with in his body. He never said what it was, but just gave an example that it's not a sin to go to the doctor and take medicine if necessary...

I thank you for the clarification regarding Fred Price, but the question I still have is did he denounce his earlier teaching as zealous by not having to take medicine if your faith is at a certain level? From what you say now, his faith must be less if he has gone to a doctor for medicine if he still believes his earlier statement.

Dave:The quotes you provided are accurate. If anyone read those quotes with the promise of scripture in mind, they can see that God desires His children healed and blessed. This does not mean that we won't face persecutions, problems, dilemas, etc. But when we face lifes uncertainties, we have the Lord and His promises declared in His Word to stand on...
Gerald
I agree that we should stand on God and His Word with whatever life brings our way. I think God desires us to be blessed and healed, but this does not always happen and is not a guarantee. The WOF teachers always say the positive, that it is God's will to bless, prosper and heal you, but they never as far as I have seen say that it is not a guarantee. I think if they said this I wouldn't have much problem with their teachings.

Thank you for providing those quotes. I cannot answer for Kenneth Hagin, but I do understand where he is coming from when he speaks of "developed faith." Do you not recall the many times when Jesus said "according to your faith, so be it unto you" or when certain ones came ot him for healing, he rebuked his disciples for having "little faith" or "unbelief"???
Gerald
I do, but again the WOF teachers always stress faith and cultivating faith in healing, but if you look at all of the healings that Jesus in the Disciples in the N.T. very few verses specifically mention faith as a reason. People were healed that were dead or asleep and could not cultivate faith. The man born blind did not even know who Jesus was before or after he was healed. He did not have faith in Jesus to heal him, but he was healed anyway.
