I'm not - the fact is, we are not told specifically what the "thorn" was -but what we are told quite clearly, is that Paul asked, three times that it be removed, and God said no, not yet. That is the point - God does not always take sickness and trouble away from us in this life, but He *does* give us grace to cope with it.

Faithful to His Word and to His own nature. He has given promises, which He cannot break, and He *is* truth, so He cannot lie!

I think I should rephrase what I said. God can heal. God promises to heal, but God sometimes says "not yet".
