Baked Peaches

4 canned peach halves - drained ---------------------- 2 tbls chopped walnuts

2 tbls brown sugar ----------------------------------- 1/2 tsp grated orange peel

1/8 tsp allspice -------------------------------------- Ice cream

In a small bowl combine walnuts, brown sugar, orange peel and allspice, mix well. In a 1 quart baking disk lay peaches in cut sit up and sprinkle with spice mixture. Bake uncovered at 350 for 20 minutes.

Serve warm topped with ice cream.

Baked Apples in Caramel Cream

3 tbls brown sugar ------------------------------ 1/4 cup hot water

4 large Rome apples cored ---------------------- 1 tbls lemon juice

12 caramels ------------------------------------- 1/2 cup whipping cream

Combine brown sugar and water in 8 inch square baking dish. Peel top of apples, brush with lemon juice and place upright in baking dish. Place 3 carmels in each apple, bake at 350 for 60 minuite basting frequently with carmel mixture. Carefully remove apples and place on small dessert plates. Pour sauce in small pan and add cream, cook over medium heat stir frequently till sauce is smooth and creamy, spoon over apples and serve right away.
