Sauces & Dips
All we need now are pasta and chips
Butter Sauce - more like Margarine (But what's in a name)
4 cups water 6 chicken bouillon cubes
1 cup milk 1 cup margarine (or 3/4 cup butter)
5 tablespoons flour Salt and pepper to taste
2 cloves garlic
In a large sauce pan add water and bouillon cubes, simmer till cubes are dissolved. Add margarine stirring occasionally till margarine has melted. In a small bowl whisk the milk and flour till smooth, add to margarine mixture. Simmer over medium-high heat till thick (should coat the back of a wooden spoon).
***Do not boil***
reat served over pasta.

Spaghetti Sauce
6 quarts tomato sauce 5 tablespoon Italian seasoning
2 or 3 garlic cloves - or 4 teaspoons garlic powder 1 medium size beef steak
2 or 3 pork chops 2 large onions - finely chopped
2 cups celery - finely chopped 1 cup sugar
In roaster or Large pot combine all except meat and simmer, then lightly brown meat (leave whole) drain all grease and add to sauce. Let simmer 2 hours stirring occasionally at this point you should taste and add more garlic if desired, remove meat and simmer till sauce reaches desired consistency. Let cool and either freeze or can for future use.

Brown Sugar Glaze - Great over Ham
1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup pineapple juice
1 tablespoon horse radish mustard
Mix all ad heat trough.

Butter Barbecue Sauce - Great on chicken on the grill
2 sticks butter or margarine 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon sage 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
Mix all and heat trough

Barbe Que Sauce - I'm not sure where my Mother got the spelling ?
1/3 cup ketchup 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
1/3 cup pineapple juice 2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons horse radish mustard
Mix all and heat trough.

Taco Dip
1 pound ground beef 2 pounds Velveeta cheese
1 can chopped green Chile peppers 8 oz tomato sauce
1 chopped green pepper 1 chopped medium onion
Brown beef and drain. Mix all place in microwave and melt cheese. Serve with tortilla chips.

Fruit Dip - Kids love it and after all are we not all kids !
1 - 8 oz package of cream cheese 1/2 cup soup cream
1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbls. maple sunup
Set cream cheese out to soften. In a mixing bowl combine all and mix till smooth, Refrigerate till ready to serve.
