Mick Gower's Indian Recipes
Sheek Kebab
- 1½ lb Finely minced beef
- ½ tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Ginger powder
- 2 tbsp Curry powder
- 1 tbsp Kashmiri masala
- 1 Beaten egg
- ½ tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Self-raising flour
- 2 tbsp Plain flour
- 2 Medium onions, peeled and finely chopped
Mix and knead all the ingredients together until stiff, take a small amount of the mixture
at a time and roll it into a ball, roll it beween your palm until sausage shaped and then
flatten it out. Wrap it round a skewer and press onto the skewer to make a sausage shape
again.
Brush a frying pan lightly with cooking oil and arrange the skewers not more than four
at a time in the pan under a pre-heated grill, under a medium flame, turn frequently and
cook until brown and well cooked.
Serve with salad or minty yoghurt sauce.
