12-Hour Crockpot Chili
Ingredients
1 Pound Lean Beef Stew Meat -- Fat Removed
-- Cut In 1/2" Cubes
1 6 Oz Can Tomato Paste
2 Onion -- Finely Chopped
2 Bell Pepper -- Seeded And Diced
1 Clove Garlic -- Minced
3 Teaspoons Chili Powder
1 Teaspoon Plain Cocoa PowderDirections
Stir meat and tomato paste together in crockery cooker. Stir in other ingredients (add no water or other liquid). Turn cooker to low heat; cover and cook for 12 hours. Skim, and discard any fat from the surface.
NotesIn place of chili powder, you can combine 1 minced small hot pepper, 2 teaspoons cumin seed, or 1 teaspoon ground cumin, and 1 teaspoon dried oregano.
