Almond Chicken


Ingredients


2 pounds boneless split chicken breasts
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon crushed rosemary leaves

Directions

Sauté the almonds in the melted margarine or butter until golden. Remove with slotted spoon and set aside. Combine flour, salt and pepper, and dust chicken breasts. Shake off excess. Stir rosemary into margarine or butter remaining in skillet and brown chicken on both sides over medium heat. Stir in wine. Cover and cook over low heat 5 to 10 minutes or until done. Remove chicken to heated platter. Heat pan juices to boiling. Stir in reserved almonds. Pour or spoon mixture over chicken to serve.
