1 Cup Soy Sauce
1/4 Teaspoon Ground Allspice
1/3 Cup Sugar
6 Scallion -- sliced thin
1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
16 Chicken Wings
1 1/2 Teaspoons Ground Ginger
1/4 Teaspoon Ground Anise
Directions
Mix the soy sauce, anise, allspice, ginger, and vegetable oil in a large bowl.
Mix in the sugar until dissolved. Stir in the scallions. Add the chicken wings to the marinade. Toss to coat thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap. Marinate, refrigerated, for 8 hours or longer.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Drain the chicken wings. Reserve the marinade. Place the wings in a 9x12 baking dish. Bake until golden brown (approx. 40-60 minutes, depending on how crisp you want them). Baste 2 or 3 times with the marinade while baking.
