Ham And Cheese Biscuit Appetizers

Ingredients

1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese -- shredded
1/2 Cup Cornmeal -- packed
3 Teaspoons Baking Powder
3/4 Cup Whole Milk
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
1/2 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Ham -- minced, packed

Directions

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Combine the flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in the ham and cheese. Combine the milk and mustard. Stir into the mixture. Quickly mix to form a dough. Add a little flour if the dough is too sticky. Pat out onto a lightly floured board, patting the dough to a 1/2" thickness. Cut the biscuits using a 2" cutter (or a smaller glass). Place on a lightly buttered baking sheet. Bake until golden (approx. 12 minutes). Serve hot!
