Pears Under the Sea

PEARS UNDER THE SEA

1 pkg (3 ounce) lime gelatin
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup boiling water
1 can (16 ounce) pears
2 pkgs(3 ounce) cream cheese
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon ginger

Dissolve gelatin in water. Drain pears, saving ¾ cup juice. Dice pears and set
aside. Add pear juice and lemon juice to gelatin. Measure 1 ½ cups into a quart mold.
Chill until set but not firm. Meanwhile soften cream cheese and gradually add remaining
jello. Blend until smooth. Chill until thick. Fold in pears. Spoon onto gelatin in the mold.
Chill until firm. 1
