These are not made from real buckeyes. They are just made to look like them. This is a very simple recipe, however, it is time consuming because of the number of buckeyes this will make. You may wish to cut the recipe in half.

Mix together peanut butter, butter, and confectioner's sugar. Form into small balls. Refrigerate balls for one hour or until they become firm. (If the humidity is high you may wish to omit refrigerating because the moisture the collects on the peanut butter may cause the chocolate to become to stiff for dipping.) Using a toothpick, dip balls into melted dipping chocolate until almost covered, leaving some of the peanut butter mixture exposed on top. Refrigerate!
