Michelob Malt
"This is Malt Liquor?"
Thanks to Chris Crayton for some of the content of this page and the nice scan of the two bottles. Unfortunatly I have yet to find Michelob Malt in California, so I've never actually tried it.
Where?: St. Louis, Missouri
Alcoholic Content: 6.0% (from the bottle)
Taste: I dunno
In their 1996 annual report, Anheuser-Busch describes Michelob Malt as their "high end" malt liquor, whatever that means. It also goes on to say that Hurricane is in the mid-level pricing segment, and King Cobra is in their "value segment." Guess which one of the three is the real malt liquor (i.e. one that you would find an empty bottle of in the gutter)?
