Pasta alla Carrettiera [Friuli] :
(Pasta with nutmeg, capers and black olives)
What you need (4 servings) :
450 g (1 lb) penne, 8 tablespoons olive oil, ½ teaspoon ground ginger.
Genereous pinch of grated nutmeg,freshly ground black pepper, 1 garlic clove.
3 tablespoons capers, 75 g (3 oz) stoned black olives,2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley.
How to do it :
Cook the penne in boiling salted water for 10 minutes.
Drain thoroughly.
Return the cooked penne to the pan, together with the oil, ginger, nutmeg, garlic, capers. olive and parsley.
Stir over a gentle heat for 1 - 2 minutes.
Serve immediately.
