Cipolle Lesse alla Parmigiana [Veneto] :
(Boiled Onions with Parmesan Cheese)
What you need (4 servings) :
4 medium onions per person.
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, olive oil.
100 g (4 oz) grated parmesan cheese.
How to do it :
Peel and wash the onions.
Bring water to the boil.
Cook the onions in the water until they are soft.
Drain the onions.
Put the onions in a oven dish.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Strew over the Parmesan Cheese and some olive oil.
Put in the middle of the oven for 15 - 20 minutes by 200 C/ 400 F.
