Fresh Choice is one of a myriad of self-service soup 'n' salad bars that all popped up in the late 80's, early 90's. They always have coupons in the paper for a discount on the all-you-can-eat ($7.95). Your meal comes with soup, salad, pizza, pasta, dessert - you name it. You can also get a "bottomless" soda as well. You're given a tray at the beginning, and then it's up to you what you'll take. You can prepare your own salad or try one of theirs. Unfortunately, there are many more prepared salads than ingredients in the do-it-yourself area, and the freshness of these items is somewhat questionable. For example, it was really obvious that the corn in the bar was canned. Bleech! If you don't opt for the soup, there are muffins and fresh-baked bread, fruit and dessert, both of which are a bit too bland, too sweet, but tasty. They also have a light pizza, garlic bread, etc. If you do opt for soup, there are several kinds, but again are probably not freshly prepared. Of course, this is how they operate so cheaply. They can provide large quantities of Price Costco/Sam's Club (Warehouse) items in quantities you could not hope to achieve at home. Fresh Choice is well-lit, with bright colored chairs, tables, and walls. There are a good number of tables, but also not spaced too close together, so that you do not have to partake in the conversation of everyone around you. I was not unduly impressed by the quality of food, nor by the quantity, but for the price and atmosphere, it was a pleasant dining experience.
