Cherries with Chocolate Cream and Ice Cream




To Monsieur Hergé, the well-known creator of "Tintin," beloved by children of all ages and their parents






THIS DESSERT is a combination of three préparations which are best made a day in advance.

CHERRIES IN SYRUP
Kirsch
CHOCOLATE CREAM
VANILLA ICE CREAM




CHILL THE CHOCOLATE CREAM overnight. Store the VANILLA ICE CREAM where it will stay well frozen.

To serve the dessert, use chilled individuel glass or porcelain dessert bowls. Put 3 or 4 cherries in each bowl with a little of their syrup, and add a few drops of kirsch. Cover them with about 2 tablespoons of chocolate cream, and put over this a portion of vanilla ice cream. Serve immediately, with plain cookies or lady fingers.
