| Family: | Jason was born in Scottsdale, Arizona to Victor and Paige Fox. The Fox’s divorced when Jason was ten. Victor has been working with the Starfleet Diplomatic Corps assigned to Andor on and off for the past 40 years. Paige Fox is a nurse working at the Starfleet medical in San Francisco, Earth. Both Jason’s parents were killed by Cardassians during the retake of Earth. Jason had a very passionate hatred for Cardassians. | ||
| Personality: | Jason is dedicated to his work. He is always looking for ways to improve ship systems. However, he is quiet and does not make friends easily. Since the death of his parents, Jason has developed a new strength in dealing with people, including members of the opposite sex. | ||
| Background: | Jason's
schooling began on Earth but he frequently traveled between Earth and
Andor. He was extensively exposed and has in depth knowledge of
both cultures. Due to the frequent trips between worlds Jason did
not have a lot of childhood friends, instead he chose to entertain
himself by tinkering with small machines and items, trying to
learn their functions and uses.
Jason discovered he had an aptitude for mechanics and engineering. he could tear apart and rebuild many small machines in very short time spans. In school he excelled in math and science. His science projects were the talk of the school. After graduation from high school, Jason was accepted to the University of Arizona where he double majored in Starship Design and Construction and Warp Field Mechanics. He graduated with honors. Jason decided that a career in Starfleet would be his best opportunity to put his talents to good use. He was accepted to Starfleet Academy in San Francisco, majoring in Starship Engineering with a minor in Operations. When Jason graduated he was given the Starfleet commission of Ensign. Jason served as Chief Engineer aboard the USS Excalibur until the death of his commanding officer. Jason then transferred to Deep Space 13 as Executive Officer until command of the Excalibur opened up. |
