|
|
This is a Bisquick recipe that is quick and easy for a tasty fruit dessert.
Ingredients
FRUIT
-----
4 cups peaches, nectarines, or apples
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp Bisquick
1/2 tsp cinnamon
TOPPING
-------
2/3 cup Bisquick
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 tbsp milk
Cooking
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Peel and cut fruit.
- Combine fruit ingredients in a 1-quart casserole or a large pie pan.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine Bisquick and brown sugar.
- Using a pastry blender, blend in butter to the Bisquick until dough is the size of small peas.
- Stir in milk to the Bisquick until moistened.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough on the fruit.
- Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees.
- Let dish cool before serving with ice cream or whipped cream.
I recommend purchasing a pastry blender in order to adequately cut the butter into the Bisquick. If you do not have one, you can use two knives, but you must be able to cut the butter very well in order to make the dough work well.
