Puligny-Montrachet les Pucelles, 1993, Domaine Leflaive
Medium depth of colour, palegolden. Exquisite and very subtly detailed nose, honeyed, touch
of smokiness, ginger again, with lychees maybe as fruittone. Perfectly and almost digitally
defined taste, the acidity wonderfully reduced to perfect proportions. Not a blockbuster, but a
beautifull finess-burgundy with an impressive mineral finish.
Tasted November 1997 at small Burgundy tasting for friends.
