Puligny-Montrachet, 1995, Domaine Leflaive
Tasted shortly after it arrived in Holland and the second 1995 white burgundy for me.
Impressive colour for a Leflaive villages wine, clearly golden hinted. Good, ripe fruit, touch of
wood. Firm gripping in taste, excellent balance of fruit, stuffings and acidity, making me
enthusiastic again for this vintage that appears to be not as fat as 1992 sometimes is, yet with
more ripeness than the 1993. Ready in two years. A very good Villages.
Tasted september 1997 at Pieter de Bruijn's.
