Tastings

There is no better opportunity to learn about wine in full depth than to be able to assess them in comparative tastings. You should therefore not miss any opportunity to participate in such tastings. And if you never are invited: organize one yourself, invite respected tasters or tradesmen and after a while you might start getting these invitations.

Next to that there is another very important way to learn about wine: visit the person who makes them. Under 'My Favourites' you will find some wineries that I have had the honour of regulalry being allowed to visit. It adds so much to the understanding of the specific characteristics of wines, and furthermore it is a truely interesting experience.

In the past years I have attended various tastings that seem interesting enough to be featured on this page. I have decided not to 'deduct' the added value of tasting one wine next to others. Therefore you will here find many notes that relate one wine to another in some respects.
