CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE


Pre heat oven to 350 F. Greese and flour two 9 inch cake pans. combine all ingredience except walnuts. Mix at low speed for 30 sec. and scraping bowl constantly. Beat at high speed for 3 min., scraping bowl ocasionaly. Pour in to prepared cake pans. Bake 40 to 45 min. or until wooden test pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.

BUTTERSCOTCH FILLING

Combine 1/2 cup of packed light brown sugar, 1/4 cup cornstarch, and 1/4 tspn. salt. In a medium saucepan. Add 1/2 cup water; cook over med. heat untill mixture comes to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil and stir in 1 tbspn. butter; Cool.

CHOCOLATE CHIP GLAZE

Combine 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips, 2 tbspn. Butter (Margarine) 1tbspn. light corn syrup in a small soucepan. Cook over low heat until chocolate melts, stirring constantly. Cool slightly. Assemble Cake. Pour glaze over top layer letting it run down sides to cover. ( smooyhen tp, and sides with spachula) Serves 8 to 10.
