2 pounds ground beef made into meatballs
1 pound London broil
1 pound Italian sausage
4 - 28 oz cans tomato puree
4 - 6 oz cans tomato paste
3 medium onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
olive oil
1 tablespoon sugar or more to taste
4 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
4 1/2 teaspoons crushed oregano
3 bay leaves
1 pound mushrooms, sliced


In large pot, sauté onions and garlic until clear in the olive oil. Sauté mushrooms in butter until tender and add to onions. Add all ingredients except meat and simmer. Thoroughly brown all meat and add to pot. Simmer for several hours. Thicken with parmesan if needed.
