Because
I believe "variety is the spice of life" and since I have
a passion for food and cooking - it just seemed fitting to name my
website Life of Spice.
In keeping with my culinary passion, I’ve been
writing a cookbook on how to use herbs, spices and other
flavorings for many years...maybe someday I’ll publish it. In
the meantime, I’ve posted some of those recipes, as well as
other often-requested recipes and those I'd like access
to on the road, to my Recipes page. On the Food Stuff
page I’ve included
lists of my favorite restaurants, both local and away.
There are also listings of ethnic and gourmet markets
in the area.
Now for the fun stuff... I really love life and try
to enjoy every day. I’ve included photos of fun times and people
(although don't have much free space on this site,
so I'll never have tons). I also put together several
lists of fun things to do. This includes things to do
around the Boulder/Denver area, a calendar of local events,
and also a list of “Simple
Summer Pleasures” for
anyone, anywhere. I’ve also included some of my favorite links
for more information on food and fun. There are a few
other miscellaneous things too on the Extra page.
To get to know me better, and see what I’ve been
doing over the years, check out my Diary link.
Some of the content is pretty dated (particularly
photos). I put my original site together in the mid '90's
and redesigned it in the summer of 2006.
Although, I used much of the old content, I will
update and expand it as time goes on.
I hope this site will bring a little spice into your
life, both literally and figuratively.
Mangi la vita,
Laura
