My interest in cooking started when I was about 10 years of age. I would follow my mother and grandmother around the kitchen and carefully watch what went into each dish. As I grew older, I began to understand that the right ingredients and a touch of love, would give me the flavor and response I had envisioned.

While living in California, I worked at various restaurants, expanding my knowledge of food, flavor and presentation. Upon my return to Virginia, I began putting together "The Baking Bear" cookbooks.

I hope that you'll enjoy each cookbook as much as I did putting them together.
