These cookies may not be talked about in gossip circles, but they're a favorite in kiddie circles, -- delicious pointy cookies made with Hersheys Kisses hidin' in the middle. These cookies are rich and filling and are sure to become a family favorite.
1 cup butter (room temperature)
1 package Hersheys Kisses or about 40 Kisses
Confectioner's Sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup finely ground walnuts
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1. Place room temperature butter in a large bowl
2. Unwrap the Hersheys kisses and set aside
3. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees
4. Cream the butter, granulated sugar, & vanilla until light and fluffy; add flour and nuts until well blended. (The batter will be stiff)
5. Divide the dough into approximately 40 walnut size balls.
6. Press 1 Hersheys kiss inside of each ball, being sure to cover the kiss completely with the cookie dough.
7. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12-15 minutes (UNTIL SET, BUT NOT BROWN) Then open the door of the oven
8. Wait one minute then remove the cookies from the oven and remove from cookie sheet.
9. Allow cookies to cool and then roll the cookies in confectioner's sugar
